In the industrial design development process, iteration cycles to refine designs are sometimes measured in days, or even hours. In such cases, a highly responsive setup is required in order to complete each cycle with physical mock-ups, volume studies or test specimens.
Special care and experience are required wherever choices concerning materials, colours and finishes need to be made to achieve the most convincing results despite radically short turnaround times.
