During the ideation phase, we playfully imagined some technical solutions for the construction of the product.
We also took the opportunity to explore different design languages for the new range of products.
Design development
The most convincing concept and selected for further development was the idea of modularising the lens body.
Main focus in the detailing phase was therefore to elaborate the construction while maintaining the desired aesthetics.
Prototyping
We went through several iterations to optimise the shape and construction. Each iteration was validated with rapid prototypes.
The final prototype shows the reduction of the dimensions of the new product (left) compared to the existing product.
Final product
The product has been awarded with the red dot design award.
